One Night Only comedy tour to return to the Strand

ZELIENOPLE — Mark Hayward and Jonathan Burns of Stunt Lab fame are returning to the Strand, and they are bringing some of their twisted friends with them.
The One Night Only Comedy and Variety Festival is touring the state with acts that have appeared on the Jay Leno, David Letterman and “America’s Got Talent” shows.
The show includes comedy, magic, stunts and acts of daring-do all designed to make the audience laugh.
Hayward is a world yo-yo champion, a member of a world champion juggling team and a Spintop champion. He likes to make things go around. He’s appeared on David Letterman’s show, “America’s Got Talent” and the “NBC Nightly News.”
“I got on “Nightly News” without committing a crime, so since I have never been convicted of a crime, I’m hoping to perform someday for the president and the queen,” he said.
In the meantime, he is coming to the Strand to entertain just plain folks.
“The best part of performing is when you connect with the audience, and the greatest is when you get a big laugh,” Hayward said.
Hayward said he believes the audience is going to see a side of entertainment they haven’t seen before with incredible professional acts.
“The Strand is the place to see us. It is the coolest venue, an intimate stage that makes it a pleasure to perform there,” Hayward said.
Burns was the kind of kid who would put his leg over his head at the family reunion and perform musical armpit noises to impress girls.
In 2004, these talents became his full-time job. He has since performed at more than 250 colleges and universities, and at festivals in the United States, Canada, China and other countries. He’s also been on Jay Leno’s and David Letterman’s television shows.
Joining the duo on stage will be Doogie Horner and Harrison Greenbaum.
Horner, a comedian, writer and artist, was a finalist on “America’s Got Talent.” His humor writing has appeared in publications including “Playboy” and the London Times.
Greenbaum is an international headliner in comedy clubs, theaters and festivals. He is a magician and will be appearing on the “Masters of Illusion.”
